GSP/Condit Penciled in for November

A firm timetable has finally been set regarding the recovery of UFC Champion Georges St. Pierre. After the 31 year-old underwent surgery to repair an injury to his right knee sustained last December, rehabilitation became a very slow process. Wanting to ensure that a second injury did not take place, the doctors in St. Pierre’s camp made sure the champion took extra time to let his knee return to 100%.

Now, over a year since his last fight, St. Pierre has gotten back to training and informed the UFC that he will be able to fight interim champion Carlos Condit this November at UFC 154. Condit won the UFC Welterweight Interim Championship by defeating Nick Diaz at UFC 143 in what was a controversial decision. Condit has yet to defend his belt, as a return from St. Pierre has been questionable. Now that his return is planned, though, it looks like Condit won’t be tested any further before facing the greatest welterweight of all time, Georges St. Pierre.
