Rousey Armbars Kaufman in 52 Seconds: Strikeforce Results

Rousey (left) defends her belt for the first time by (you guessed it) first round armbar

Ronda Rousey continues to amaze the MMA world, cruising to yet another first round armbar victory in one minute, this time against Sarah Kaufman. Rushing Kaufman from the opening horn, the challenger seemed to have no answers for the champion who defended her belt tonight for the first time. Rousey was in position to get the arm just twenty seconds in, and although Kaufman was able to protect her arm for a little while, it proved futile in the end.

Ronda Rousey has taken the women’s MMA world by storm, still yet to make it to the second round in any of her fights. After the fight’s conclusion, being interviewed by Mauro Ranallo, Rousey called out her nemesis Cris Cyborg saying she would be Cyborg’s first fair fight and offering her a fight in the parking lot that Cyborg asked for earlier in the week. The top two women in the sport seem to be on a crash course to fight one another.

We also saw a quick finish in the Jacare fight, with Ronaldo Souza winning his first fight by KO and doing it in impressive fashion; finishing Derek Brunson 41 seconds into the fight with punches.
