Frankie Edgar Moves to Featherweight

Frank Edgar’s next fight will be 10 pounds lighter at 145-lbs.

Frankie Edgar is truly the Rocky of MMA. Not only did he knock off the best and defend his belt at lightweight, but he did so without cutting weight. After losing two in a row to current champion, Benson Henderson, he’s ready for a new journey. This time, at a weight class that better suits him in 145-lbs.

It was confirmed on UFC Tonight that Edgar’s much discussed next fight would be at the featherweight division. It’s still unknown who Edgar will fight next, but UFC President Dana White hinted he would need at least one win at featherweight before getting a title shot at Jose Aldo.
