Koch vs. Lamas Slated for UFC 155

An exciting card is shamping up for UFC 155, the UFC’s end of the year card that features a heavyweight championship rematch between Junior Dos Santos and Cain Velasquez.

Erik Koch, who was slated to face champion Jose Aldo just a few months back will take on Ricardo Lamas who is coming off a sizzling victory against Japanese ace Hatsu Hioki.

Koch, 24, was scheduled to fight Jose Aldo until benched with an injury that forced him out and gave Frankie Edgar a shot at the title. Lamas is 3-0 in the UFC with his most recent victory being an absolute domination against Hatsu Hioki in June. Koch hasn’t fought since September 2011.

The winner of this fight may get the next shot at the featherweight title holder, which should be the winner of the Aldo/Edgar that has yet to be scheduled.
