MMA standout and now UFC fighter Ronda Rousey now knows who she will be taking on for her first UFC scrap. Rousey will be facing Liz “Girlrilla” Carmouche in a five-round title fight at UFC 157 in Anaheim, California.

Addressing the much clamored for Cyborg-Rousey fight, Dana White spoke today about making this decision:

“That was obviously the fight (Rousey against Santos) we wanted to make at 135 pounds. We worked hard to make that fight. This fight (Rousey-Carmouche) will happen and I truly believe the next one will be the Cyborg fight — this fight first, then Cyborg at 135 pounds. (Carmouche) wanted to fight her. Believe me, people aren’t kicking the doors down at Zuffa to fight her.”

Rousey is undefeated in her six-fight career, all fights coming by first round armbar.  After taking the bantamweight title from Miesha Tate, she defended it against Sarah Kaufman before being brought over to the UFC.

Carmouche (7-2) has won two in a row, her last loss coming in March 2011 where Marloes Coenen defeated her for the Strikeforce bantamweight championship that Rousey eventually took over.
