Ronda Rousey Makes WWE Debut

In what she has called a long-term move, former UFC champion Ronda Rousey made her full-time debut in the WWE at last night’s Royal Rumble in Philadelphia.

Rousey made a cameo debut in the squared circle at Wrestlemania 31, but returned to the UFC to fight afterwards. This appearance, according to Rousey is more than just a try out.

In an interview with ESPN:

“This is my life now. First priority on my timeline for the next several years. This is not a smash-and-grab; this is not a publicity stunt. When I first met with [professional wrestler] Triple H, I told him, ‘There are other things I can do with my time that’ll make way more money, but I won’t enjoy nearly as much.’”

We will see how much a role Rousey has for the upcoming Wrestlemania 34 event, but her appearance tonight seemed to promise a big role in the night’s festivities.
